Lindner, Kurt A
German-American engineer. Member of the von Braun's Rocket Team, became director of the Guidance and Control Laboratory of the Research and Development Division at Huntsville.

Born: 1914-10-20. Died: 1960-07-05. Birth Place: Germany.

German expert in guided missiles during World War II. Member of the German rocket team, arrived in America under Project Paperclip on 16 November 1945 aboard the Argentina from La Havre. As of January 1947, working at Fort Bliss, Texas. After working at Fort Bliss he was transferred to the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama in 1950 to work with Dr. Wernher von Braun at the Army Ballistic Missile Agency (ABMA). At the time of his death, he was the director of the Guidance and Control Laboratory of the Research and Development Division at ABMA. Following his death, Kurt Lindner was awarded the Army's Meritorious Civilian Service medal.
