Russian earth magnetosphere satellite. This spacecraft, built by Lavochkin, was for study of geomagnetic fields, radiation, and solar physics. Science, magnetosphere satellite built by Lavochkin, Russia. Launched 1972 - 1973.

AKA: SO-M. Status: Operational 1972. First Launch: 1972-04-14. Last Launch: 1985-04-26. Number: 10 . Gross mass: 920 kg (2,020 lb).

They continued the work of Elektron project of 1964. G S Narimanov was head of the government commission and they were launched by Molniya-M from Baikonur.
