Apel, Erich (1917-1965) German engineer in WW2, member of the Rocket Team in the Soviet Union thereafter.

German manufacturing engineer during World War II. As of January 1947, Allies believed he was living at Creya bei Bleicherode Suedharz (Russian Zone of Occupation). In fact , he had been transferred to the Soviet Union with other members of the German rocket team. He later was a Minister of the German Democratic Republic.
