Bachelor of science from USAF Academy, 1970. Master of science in meteorology from Texas A and M, 1972, Ph.D. in Meteorology from University of Utah, 1980. 1985 selected as USAF Air Weather Service Officer. He was assigned as backup for STS-61M. Worked at the Pentagon. Resigned from Air Force in 1995. Became principal director, Reconnaissance Systems Division, Engineering and Technology Group, National Systems Group (NSG).
