Associate Professor for Cosmic Physics at the University of Lecce (Italy).

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Payload Specialist, Italian Space Agency Group - 1990. Inactive Entered space service: February1989. Left space service: 8 August 1992.

Scientific Adviser for Space of the Italian Minister for Research and Technology. Later Research Director in Bioastronomy at the Institute for Planetary Science (CNR) in Rome. Author of over 200 research papers in Space Physics, Cometary Physics, Molecular Astrophysics and Bioastronomy..
