Scientific Adviser for Space of the Italian Minister for Research and Technology. Later Research Director in Bioastronomy at the Institute for Planetary Science (CNR) in Rome. Author of over 200 research papers in Space Physics, Cometary Physics, Molecular Astrophysics and Bioastronomy..
