Butterworth
Butterworth, Louis William (1948-) American engineer payload specialist astronaut, 1984-1986.

Bachelor of science in engineering and master of science in mechanical engineering from CalTech, 1970 and 1971 respectively. Worked at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Alternate payload specialist to Gregory Jarvis on STS-51D. Later worked at Hughes Space and Communications, then a Vice-President at DirecTV Inc.

Birth Place: Casper, Wyoming.
Status: Inactive.
