Chirkin, Viktor Martynovich (1944-) Russian test pilot cosmonaut, 1979-1982.

Test pilot, Soviet Air Force. Cosmonaut training January 1979 to 1980. Buran test plot. Left cosmonaut corps in 1981, because he didn't believe that Buran would ever fly. Deputy Director of GKNII (Flight Research Institute) of the Soviet Air Force. From 1999 scientific advisor to the commander of the Akhtubinsk Test Pilot Center.

Birth Place: Barnaul, Altai.
