Astronaut Group: Air Force Group 7 - 1978. Inactive Entered space service: 23 May 1978. Left space service: 30 December 1986. Cosmonaut training May 1978 - 1980. Departed cosmonaut corps for medical reasons (suspicion of jaundice).

Chief Cap-Com in Kaliningrad, 1996 - 2004 Director of the Third Department of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, later retired.
