Otto William Hoernig Jr British Payload Specialist Astronaut. Born 21 July 1938.

Personal: Male. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. US AIr Force Bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Texas A and M University, 1960. Master of science in aerospace systems management from the University of Southern California, 1969. US AIr Force Contel ASC employee.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Payload Specialist. Inactive Entered space service: June 1984. Left space service: 1986. Commercial Payload Specialist Selection 5 in November 1985. Assigned to Shuttle Flight STS-71C (Mission ASC-2 / Skynet-4B deployment), which was cancelled after Challenger.

From February 1987 Vice President Contel ASC.
