Kovalyonok Chronology 12 April 1967 - Soviet Air Force Cosmonaut Training Group 4 selected.. 15 June 1971 - Soyuz Kontakt and DOS-2 crew assignments made.. Flight: Soyuz 11, Soyuz 12 / DOS 1, Soyuz sn 18, Soyuz sn 19, Soyuz sn 20, Soyuz sn 21, Soyuz sn 22, Soyuz sn 23, DOS 2-1, DOS 2-2, DOS 2-3, DOS 2-4. Crews are formed for six Soyuz (Kontakt?) flights. Soyuz s/n 18 - Filipchenko and Grechko; Soyuz s/n 19 - Lazarev and Makarov; Soyuz s/n 20 - Vorobyov and Yazdovsky; Soyuz s/n 21 - Yakovlelv and Porvatkin; Soyuz s/n 22 - Kovalyonok and Isakov; Soyuz s/n 23 - Shcheglov and [illegible]. Five crews are training for Salyut flights: Crew 1, Leonov, Rukavishnikov, and Kolodin; Crew 2, Gubarev, Sevastyanov, and Voronov. TsKBEM engineer cosmonauts are to be selected will round out the last three crews, but VVS members will be: Crew 3, Klimuk, Artyukhin; Crew 4, Bykovskyy, Alekseyev; Crew 5, Gorbatko. Leonov and Gubarev will have their crews fully ready for Soyuz 12 by 30 June, for a launch date between 15-20 July. Leonov is asking to go to East Germany for two to three days in the first week of July. Kamanin is fully opposed to this - he is thinkng not of his upcoming flight, but the exhibition of his paintings at the Prezdensk Gallery! 1972 - Soyuz sn 22 (cancelled). Unsuccessful mission. Failed to dock with Salyut 6. 11 October 1977 - Landing of Soyuz 25. Assignment: Return Crew. Flight: Soyuz 25. Soyuz 25 landed at 03:24 GMT. 10 December 1977 - Soyuz 26. Assignment: Backup Crew. Flight: Salyut 6 EO-1. Manned two crew. Docked with Salyut 6. Carried Yuri Romanenko, Georgi Grechko to Salyut 6; returned crew of Soyuz 27 to Earth. Conduct of joint experiments with the Salyut-6 scientific station. 10 January 1978 - Soyuz 27. Assignment: Backup Crew. Flight: Salyut 6 EP-1, Salyut 6 EO-1. Manned two crew. Carried Oleg Makarov, Vladimir Dzhanibekov to Salyut 6; returned crew of Soyuz 26 to Earth. Docked with Salyut 6. 15 June 1978 - Soyuz 29. Assignment: Prime Crew. Flight: Salyut 6 EO-2. Manned two crew. Docked with Salyut 6. Placed on board the Salyut-6 station a crew consisting of V.V. Kovalenko and A.S. Ivanchenkov to conduct scientific and technological investigations and experiments. 29 July 1978 - EVA Salyut 6 EO-2-1. Assignment: EVA Crew. Flight: Salyut 6 EO-2. Retrieved material samples and equipment. 20 August 1978 - Kamanin in Star City.. Flight: Salyut 6 EO-2. At a visit to Star City, Kamanin is allowed to participate together with Yeliseyev in a communications session with the EO-2 crew (Ivanchenkov, Kovalyonok) aboard Salyut 6. 2 November 1978 - Landing of Soyuz 31. Assignment: Return Crew. Flight: Salyut 6 EO-2. Soyuz 31 landed at 11:05 GMT with the crew of Ivanchenkov and Kovalyonok aboard. 27 November 1980 - Soyuz T-3. Assignment: Backup Crew. Flight: Salyut 6 EO-5. Manned three crew. Docked with Salyut 6. Tested the improved transport ship of the 'SOYUZ T' series; transported to the Salyut-6 orbital station a crew consisting of L D Kizim, O G Makarov and G M Strekalov to carry out repair and preventive work and scientific and technical investigation and experiments. 12 March 1981 - Soyuz T-4. Assignment: Prime Crew. Flight: Salyut 6 EO-6. Manned two crew. Docked with Salyut 6. Transported to the Salyut-6 orbital station cosmonauts V V Kovalenok and V P Savinykh to carry out repairs and preventive maintenance and scientific and technical investigations and experiments. 26 May 1981 - Landing of Soyuz T-4.
