Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Payload Specialist. Inactive Entered space service: 25 February 1984. Left space service: January 1986.

Later became a farmer in Somerset, England.

Longhurst Chronology

1987 January - STS-71-C (cancelled). Planned shuttle mission for deployment of commercial communications satellites. Cancelled after Challenger disaster.
