Personal: Female, Married. Born in Uccle, Belgium. Civilian Doctorate in medicine from the Catholic University of Louvain. Belgian Air Transport Pilot License from a Civil Aviation School.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: ESA Group 1 - 1992. Inactive Entered space service: 15 May 1992. Left space service: 1995. After marrying astronaut Maurizio Cheli, she resigned from the European Space Agency.

Worked as a physician with own practice.

Classical music, walking, ballet.
