Vyacheslav Georgyevich Meytarchan Ukrainian Scientist Cosmonaut. Born 7 December 1965.

Personal: Male. Born in Slobudka , Brest, Ukraine. Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine Degree from the Polytechnic Institute in Kiev, 1989. Ph.D. in technical sciences Academy of Sciences of the Ukraine. From 1989 worked at a special development department of NPO Energia on the development of computer models for large spacecraft structures.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Ukraine Group - 1996. Inactive Entered space service: September 1996. Left space service: 1996. Was scheduled for STS-87, but forced to leave training for medical reasons.

Worked for NASA.

Meytarchan Chronology

1 January 1996 - Ukrainian Cosmonaut Training Group selected.. Ukrainian astronauts trained for flights to the Mir space station.
