Astronaut Group: USAF MOL Group 1 - 1965. Inactive Entered space service: 12 November 1965. Left space service: 10 June 1969.

Born in Washington, DC; married with one child. Received BS from US Naval Academy in 1955, but entered the Air Force. Selected November 12, 1965 USAF MOL Group 1; departed on June 10, 1969 with the cancellation of the MOL-Program. He thereafter returned to the Air Force, serving as Vice Commander, Tactical Air Warfare Center, Eglin AFB, Florida.


Neubeck Chronology

12 November 1965 - USAF MOL Astronaut Training Group 1 selected.. The group was selected to provide crews for flights of the Manned Orbiting Laboratory, a classified military manned space station.. Qualifications: Qualified military pilot; graduate of Aerospace Research Pilot School; serving military officer; US citizen by birth..
