Aleksandr Sergeyevich Puchkov Russian Pilot Cosmonaut. Born 15 October 1948.

Personal: Male. Born in Medyn, Russia. Soviet Air Force Graduated from Kachinsk Higher Air Force School and from Akhtubinsk Soviet Test Pilot School, 1970 and 1977 respectively. Graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute, 1981. Soviet Air Force Test Pilot School. Colonel, Soviet Air Force Test Pilot School.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: Buran Group 3 Supplemental - 1990, Chkalov Group 3 - 1992. Inactive Entered space service: 11 May 1990. Left space service: 30 September 1996. Cosmonaut training March 1989 - April 1991. To have been a Buran pilot.

Retired from active duty 1997. Thereafter, a Managing Director of the military design bureau MAPO.
