Sponable, Jess Mitchell (1955-) American engineer military spaceflight engineer astronaut, 1982-1987.

Bachelor of science in physics from USAF Institute of Technology, 1978. Master of science in astronautical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, 1982. Worked in the SDI Program. From 1997 Phillips Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. From November 1998, Universal Space Lines, Newport Beach, California.
