Yuri Nikolayevich Stepanov Russian Engineer Cosmonaut. Born 27 September 1936.

Personal: Male. Born in Kiev, Ukraine. Institute of Medical Biological Problems Graduated from Moscow Mechanical Institute with an engineering degree, 1960. Graduated from Moscow Mechanical-Engineering Institute, 1964. Civilian Engineer, at several institutes, then the Institute for Medical Biological Problems from 1971.

Astronaut Career

Astronaut Group: IMBP Group 4 - 1985. Inactive Entered space service: 2 September 1985. Left space service: 1996. In 1995 transferred to the Academy of Sciences cosmonaut group.

Retired in 1996.

Stepanov Yuri Chronology

2 September 1985 - IMBP Cosmonaut Training Group 4 selected.. Physicians and biomedical specialist cosmonauts for planned missions to the Mir space station.
