Sultanov, Ural Nazibovich
(1948-) Russian test pilot cosmonaut, 1983-1996.
Graduated from Kharkov Higher Military School, 1971. Graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute, 1981. Civilian test pilot for Air Force Ministry. Cosmonaut training from September 1985 - 1987. Buran Test Pilot. From 2002 he worked for an aviation company in Zhukovsky.
Birth Place: Nikifarovo, Alsheyevskiy dist., Bashkiria.

Two cosmonauts would deliver the 37KBI module to Mir, using the Buran manipulator arm to dock it to the
station's Kristall module. Final crew selection had still not been made at the time the program was cancelled.
