Tolboyev, Maghomed Omarovich
(1951-) Avar (Dagestani)-Russian test pilot cosmonaut, 1983-1994.
Graduated from Yeisk Higher Military Fighter Pilot School, 1973 and from Moscow Aviation Institute, 1984 Russian Air Force. Civilian test pilot at Flight Research Institute LII. Cosmonaut training September 1985 - 1987. Buran Test Pilot. Elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. From 1996 to 1998 he was on the Security Council of the Republic of Dagestan.

Two cosmonauts would deliver the 37KBI module to Mir, using the Buran manipulator arm to dock it to the
station's Kristall module. Final crew selection had still not been made at the time the program was cancelled.
