  • 1960 March 23 - Explorer S-46 - Program: Explorer. Launch Site: Cape Canaveral. Launch Complex: LC26B. Launch Vehicle: Jupiter. FAILURE: Upper stage failed to ignite. Third stage failed to ignite due to loss of radio contact. Mass: 16 kg (35 lb).
