Japanese sounding rocket. Small, half-meter diameter, two stage suborbital rocket used for tracking system and microgravity tests.

TT-500 launches 1 to 7 were tests of the design, used to validate the launch site system's tracking function. The TT-500A rocket was an improved version with experiment equipment in the payload section. It was used in launches 8 to 13, between 1980 and 1983, for space materials experiments. It was launched on ballistic, parabolic flights producing about seven minutes of microgravity, during which metal melting and solidifying, semiconductor and amorphous semiconductor, manufacturing compound and other experiments were conducted.
