Wikipedia Biography: Vsevolod Sergeyevich Avduevsky was a scientist in the field of aeromechanics and cosmonautics, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1979); winner of the Lenin and State Prizes of the USSR , the Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR and the Prize. N.Ye. Zhukovsky. He was born in the village of Berezovka, Odessa region. He graduated from the MAI in 1944, postgraduate MAI in 1949, doctor of technical sciences (1960), professor. From 1949 - Leading Engineer, 1951-1953 - Deputy Chief Designer of the Design Bureau, 1953-1966 - Head of the Research Institute-1; 1966-1973 - Deputy Head of the Institute 1973-1987 - 1st Deputy Director of TsNIIMASH ; 1987-1989 - Deputy Director of the IMASH. Advisor to the Directorate of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMASH) RAS. A. A. Blagonravova. He worked at CIAM, taught at the MAI. The main directions of scientific activity: aerodynamic heating and thermal protection of bodies moving in the atmosphere at high speeds, space technology. He died in Moscow.
